Therefore, a consulting practice in Frankfurt, originally known as “MPP, Gesellschaft für Beratung und IT Dienstleistungen GmbH” was established. David Ploog and Christophe Mostert believed that TT&L companies would be more successful if they could call on experienced advice and expertise outside their own organization. A strategy was defined based on their basic formula of success: A holistic approach to complex problems through the combination of IT expertise with consulting practices.

Following their vision of becoming the most successful consulting company in the TT&L industry, further clients needed to be acquired. In order to attract the international market the firm adopted a more global identity by renaming itself to “M2P Consulting”. The used acronym does not only refer to the two founders, but also represents the business and philosophy "methods to projects", revealing the methodological approach to everyday work.
Two years after the foundation, M2P Consulting expanded its regional outreach beyond Europe into the fast-growing market place of the Middle East through engaging on projects with new clients.

From that point on, the company was on course for success. Only seven years after the business was created, M2P Consulting continued its market expansion by establishing business in New York with a focus on catering to its North and South American clients.

The worldwide growth urged for internal change. In line with corporate restructuring, the company changed its name to “Mostert, Ploog & Partners”, also complying with the expansion of services into Management Consulting, Professional Services and IT Services. In maintaining a piece of the original name, the corporate logo has been kept to incorporate the characters “M2P”.
